Propoxur
Propoxure, Baygon, Aprocarb
T0976114-26-1
Propoxur (Propoxure) is an insecticide used to control cockroaches, flies, mosquitoes, and lawn and turf insects. Acute (short-term) exposure of humans to propoxur by ingestion leads to cholinesterase inhibition of red blood cells, with mild cholinergic symptoms including blurred vision, nausea, vomiting, sweating, and tachycardia; however, the effects are transient. Chronic (long-term) inhalation exposure has resulted in depressed cholinesterase levels, headaches, vomiting, and nausea in humans. Chronic ingestion studies in animals have reported depressed cholinesterase levels, depressed body weight, effects to the liver and bladder, and a slight increase in neuropathy. No information is available on the reproductive, developmental, or carcinogenic effects of propoxur in humans. Mixed results are available from cancer studies of propoxur in animals. EPA has not classified propoxur for carcinogenicity.

L-Hyoscyamine
Hyoscyamine, Daturine
T0962101-31-5
L-Hyoscyamine (Daturine) functions as a non-selective, competitive antagonist of muscarinic receptors, thereby inhibiting the parasympathetic activities of acetylcholine on the salivary, bronchial, and sweat glands, as well as the eye, heart, bladder, and gastrointestinal tract. Hyoscyamine is a belladonna alkaloid derivative and the levorotatory form of racemic atropine isolated from the plants Hyoscyamus niger or Atropa belladonna, which exhibits anticholinergic activity. These inhibitory effects cause a decrease in saliva, bronchial mucus, gastric juices, and sweat. Furthermore, its inhibitory action on smooth muscle prevents bladder contraction and decreases gastrointestinal motility.

Polygalacic acid
Virgaureagenin G
T376722338-71-2
Polygalacic acid (Virgaureagenin G) is a triterpenoid isolated from the root of Polygala tenuifolia Willd that inhibits MMP expression. Polygalacic acid (Virgaureagenin G) can significantly improve the responsiveness of the cholinergic system, such as decreased acetylcholinesterase (AChE) activity, increased choline acetyltransferase (ChAT) activity, and increased acetylcholine (ACh) levels in the hippocampus and frontal cortex. Polygalacic acid (Virgaureagenin G) can also inhibit IL-1β-induced Wnt/β-catenin activation and mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathways in chondrocytes, and is used in osteoarthritis (OA) related research.

Tiotropium Bromide hydrate
BA-679 BR hydrate, BA 679BR
T6707411207-31-3
Tiotropium Bromide hydrate (BA-679 BR hydrate) is a potent anticholinergic and bronchodilator, serving as a muscarinic receptor antagonist, specifically targeting mAChR. It is developed for treating chronic obstructive airways disease (COPD), demonstrating novel and long-lasting effects. Binding studies with [3H]tiotropium bromide in human lung reveal its high potency and equivalent affinity for M1-, M2-, and M3-receptors, making it roughly 10 times more effective than ipratropium bromide. It notably inhibits cholinergic nerve-induced contraction of both guinea-pig and human airways more potently than atropine or ipratropium bromide, albeit with a slower onset. Tiotropium bromide uniquely presents slow dissociation from M3-receptors on airway smooth muscle and rapid dissociation from M2 autoreceptors on cholinergic nerve terminals. As a quaternary ammonium derivative, it shows high affinity and special kinetic selectivity towards muscarinic receptors across M1-, M2-, and M3-subtypes, due to its slower dissociation from M1- and M3-receptors compared to M2-receptors.
