Description
SIB-1553A hydrochloride is an orally available, selective nicotinic acetylcholine receptor agonist and a selective neuronal nAChR ligand.SIB-1553A hydrochloride enhances cognition and may be useful in the study of Alzheimer's disease and cognitive impairment.
In vitro
In calcium flux assays, compared to nicotine, SIB-1553A hydrochloride (0.1-5 μM) exhibits higher selectivity in both potency and efficacy towards β4 subunits containing recombinant hnAChRs (α2β4, α3beta4, and α4β4) over β2 subunits containing nAChRs (α4β2 and α3beta2)[1].
In vivo
In Male Sprague-Dawley rats (200-250 g), SIB-1553A hydrochloride (1, 2, 4, 10, 20, and 40 mg/kg; s.c) induced hippocampal ACh release[2].

Stock Solution Preparation:

Dissolve 2 mg of the compound in 100 μL DMSOTargetMol | reagent to obtain a stock solution at a concentration of 20 mg/mL . If the required concentration exceeds the compound's known solubility, please contact us for technical support before proceeding.

Preparation of the In Vivo Formulation:

1) Add 100 μL of the DMSOTargetMol | reagent stock solution to 400 μL PEG300TargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.

2) Add 50 μL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.

3) Add 450 μL Saline,PBS or ddH2OTargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
