Acute Kidney Injury Modeling

Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) refers to a rapid decline in kidney function over a short period. Common induction methods include ischemia-reperfusion injury, cisplatin or cisplatin/lipopolysaccharide combination, mannitol overload, and contrast-induced nephropathy. These models are used for evaluating drug-induced nephrotoxicity, as well as studying renal protection and repair mechanisms.

cisplatin
T156415663-27-1
Cisplatin (CDDP) is a DNA cross-linking agent. Cisplatin has antitumor activity and inhibits DNA synthesis by forming DNA adducts in cancer cells. Cisplatin also activates ferroptosis and induces autophagy.
