Uremia Modeling

Uremia represents the end-stage phase of chronic kidney disease (CKD), characterized by severe metabolic disturbances and toxin accumulation. Common models include long-term adenine feeding and 5/6 nephrectomy combined with a high-protein diet. These models are used to investigate toxin clearance mechanisms, complication pathogenesis, and advanced renal replacement therapies.
