Natriuretic peptide

The Natriuretic Peptide family includes ANP, BNP, and CNP. By binding to and activating transmembrane receptors NPR, they trigger the GC, cGMP, and cGK cascades, exerting sodium-reducing, diuretic, vasodilatory, and anti-fibrotic effects. Natriuretic peptides are activated during heart failure and play a significant role in regulating blood pressure, fluid balance, and cardiovascular function.
