Allergic Asthma Modeling

Allergic asthma is a chronic inflammatory airway disease triggered by hypersensitivity reactions. Typical models use antigens such as ovalbumin (OVA) or house dust mites to induce airway hyperresponsiveness, eosinophilic inflammation, and airway remodeling. These models are widely employed to evaluate the efficacy of anti-inflammatory drugs, antibody-based therapies, and immunomodulators.

Ovalbumin
T647449006-59-1
Ovalbumins are water-soluble globular glycoproteins extracted from egg whites. Ovalbumins are abundant proteins synthesized in the oviduct following estrogen or progesterone treatment. Ovalbumins exhibit hypotensive, antibacterial, anticancer, antioxidant, and immunomodulatory activities. Ovalbumins are commonly used as markers for studying hormone-regulated gene expression in this tissue.
