Primulaceae

The Primulaceae, commonly known as the primrose family, of the order Ericales, are a family of herbaceous and woody flowering plants containing 58 genera and nearly 2,600 species of flowering plants. Lysimachia capillipes Hemsl. (LC), which belongs to the Lysimachia Primulaceae family, is widely used as both food and medicine. L. capillipes Hemsl. has been long applied to treat the cough, rheumatalgia disorder and carcinomas and in cooking as a spice. The Lysimachia capillipes Hemsl capilliposide (LCc) is the main bioactive component of this Chinese medicinal plant.
