P. zeylanica has also been used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, dysmenorrhea, injury by bumping, and cancer. Plumbagin has been shown to possess anti-cancer, anti-proliferative, chemopreventive, radiosensitizing, anti-angiogenic, and anti-metastatic activities.
