IDO-IN-4 is an indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase 1 (IDO-1) inhibitor.

IDO1/TDO-IN-4 is a novel dual inhibitor of IDO1/TDO with antidepressant activity, forming hydrogen bonds with IDO1 and π-π stacking interactions with TDO. IDO1/TDO-IN-4 rescues lipopolysaccharide-induced depressive-like behaviors in mice, used for cancer and Alzheimer's disease research.

Coptisine suppresses adhesion, migration and invasion of MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells in vitro, the down-regulation of MMP-9 in combination with the increase of TIMP-1 possibly contributing to the anti-metastatic function for breast cancer.
