N-Acetyl-L-arginine
Ac-Arg-OH
T8053155-84-0
N-Acetyl-L-arginine (Ac-Arg-OH), an N-acyl-L-alpha-amino acid with a strong basic nature (based on its pKa), has elevated serum levels in hyperargininemic patients and is associated with several diseases, including uremia and colorectal cancer. In untreated hyperargininemic patients, it reaches its highest levels in cerebrospinal fluid. It has also been detected in apples and loquats, suggesting it could be a potential biomarker for consumption of these foods. Additionally, a low-arginine diet combined with sodium benzoate therapy leads to a marked decrease in plasma N-acetyl-L-arginine concentrations.

L-Glyceric acid sodium
T38954146298-95-5
L-Glyceric acid sodium, a urinary metabolite, is predominantly found in individuals with the rare inherited metabolic disorder L-glyceric aciduria. This compound is a diagnostic tool for identifying primary hyperoxaluria type 2 (PH2) and distinguishing it from primary hyperoxaluria type 1 (PH1) based on its excretion pattern.

    Propylparaben sodium
    Propylparahydroxybenzoatesodium, Propyl4-hydroxybenzoatesodium
    T4044235285-69-9
Propylparaben sodium (propyl parahydroxybenzoate) is a naturally occurring antimicrobial preservative found in plants and bacteria. Widely utilized in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and foods, this compound impairs antral follicle growth and steroidogenic function by modifying the cell-cycle, apoptosis, and steroidogenesis pathways. Additionally, propylparaben sodium reduces sperm count and motility in rats.

    Eicosapentaenoic Acid sodium
    Timnodonic acid sodium, EPA sodium
    T7215273167-03-0
Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) sodium, an orally active omega-3 long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acid (ω-3 LC-PUFA), demonstrates a unique ability to demethylate DNA, thereby facilitating the re-expression of the tumor suppressor gene CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein δ (C/EBPδ). This compound also activates the RAS/ERK/C/EBPβ pathway by demethylating H-Ras intron 1 CpG island in U937 leukemia cells and promotes the relaxation of vascular smooth muscle cells, leading to vasodilation.

    Cd1a
    β-TRTX-cd1a, β-Theraphotoxin-cd1a
    T82764
Cd1a, a β-toxin from the African spider Ceratogyrus darlingi, modulates calcium ion channels and inhibits human calcium ion channels (Ca v 2.2)(IC 50 2.6 μM) as well as mouse sodium ion channels (Na v 1.7). This compound has potential applications in creating drugs for the treatment of peripheral pain [1].

    Oganomycin GB
    TN1096680458-10-2
Oganomycin GB is derived from the bacterium Streptomyces (Streptomyces str. oganonensis YG 19Z). When sodium para-hydroxycinnamate is added to the fermentation medium, Oganomycin A is produced. This compound is converted into its glutaric acid derivative, Oganomycin GA, via the action of D-amino acid oxidase. After the removal of sulfate ester through acidic hydrolysis, both A and GA yield Oganomycin B and Oganomycin GB. The effectiveness of Oganomycin GB is greater against Gram-negative bacteria compared to Gram-positive bacteria.
