| Description | DIDS sodium salt (MDL101114ZA) is a small molecule inhibitor that acts as a dual-target inhibitor of both ABCA1 and VDAC1, suppressing RAD51-mediated homologous recombination. This compound inhibits anion exchange and Caspase-3/-9 activation, and is used in cancer research. |
| Targets & IC50 | RAD51:2 μM (KD), ClC-Ka chloride channel:100 μM, Cl⁻ uptake (neuroblastoma cells):150 nM |
| In vitro | Methods: In human peripheral blood mononuclear cells and RAW264.7 cells, whole-cell patch-clamp recordings were performed. After activation of volume-activated chloride channels (VACC) by hypotonic solution, 100 μM DIDS sodium salt was applied by perfusion. Results: DIDS sodium salt rapidly inhibited VACC currents without affecting the current-voltage relationship.[1] |

| Cell Research | Instructions a. Solution preparation: Dissolve DIDS sodium salt (MDL101114ZA) in DMSO to prepare a 100 mmol/L storage solution, store it in aliquots at -20℃ or -80℃, and store it at 4℃ for future use. b. Operation steps: Dilute the storage solution to 100 µmol/L before use and add it to the cells for incubation. The above information is based on published literature. Experimental procedures should be appropriately modified to meet specific research demands. |
