Sphinganine (d20:0)
Sphinganine (d20:0)
T3578124006-62-0
Sphinganine (d20:0) is a natural isomer of dihydro-D-erythro-sphinganine (sphinganine (d18:0); that is a precursor of ceramide and sphingosine as well as a substrate for sphingosine kinases, which generate sphingosine-1-phosphate (d18:1) . In S. cerevisiae, the amount of sphinganine (d20:0) increases 10.8-fold in response to heat stress, indicating it is involved in heat stress adaptation. Sphinganine levels increase significantly in response to certain mycotoxins, including fumonisins as well as in some cancers. Sphinganine can block protein kinase C activation in some cases but not others.

3-keto Sphinganine (d12:0) hydrochloride
3-keto Sphinganine (d12:0), 3-keto Dihydrosphingosine (d12:0)
T851741823032-02-5
3-Keto Sphinganine (d12:0) is a short-chain analog of 3-keto sphinganine (d18:0), which typically possesses a C18 chain length. The latter is a lyso-sphingolipid synthesized through the condensation of L-serine and palmitoyl-CoA mediated by the enzyme serine palmitoyl transferase (SPT). A deficiency in Vitamin K deactivates SPT, leading to a reduced synthesis of 3-keto sphinganine among other sphingolipids. [Matreya, LLC. Catalog No. 1893]

Sphinganine 1-phosphate
Sphinganine-1-phosphate (d18:0), D-erythro-Dihydrosphingosine 1-phosphate
T3940119794-97-9
Sphinganine 1-phosphate is an intermediate in the sphingolipid metabolic pathway and is structurally similar to sphingosine. It has a protective effect on the kidney and liver through activation of the S1P1 receptor in mice. D-erythro-Dihydrosphingosine 1-phosphate acts as an agonist for S1P4 in Homo sapiens and may activate GPR63 (G protein-coupled receptor), mainly used in the study of Fabry disease, Gaucher disease, Krabbe disease and Leukodystrophy.

(2S)-3-Keto sphinganine (d6:0) hydrochloride
(2S)-3-Keto-C6-dihydrosphingosine hydrochloride
T2018691314999-30-8
(2S)-3-Keto sphinganine (d6:0) ((2S)-3-Keto-C6-dihydrosphingosine) hydrochloride is a lipid compound utilized in the preparation of liposomes. Liposomes, characterized by concentric phospholipid bilayer vesicles, are critical in constructing drug delivery systems for anti-cancer and anti-infection applications. They effectively encapsulate hydrophilic solutes within their aqueous interiors and incorporate lipophilic cargoes into their phospholipid bilayers, making them integral to the bilayer structure. This compound is particularly valuable in delivering antisense oligonucleotides, addressing challenges such as inefficient cellular uptake and rapid loss in the body.
