(+)-biocytin

p-Diazobenzoyl-biocytin chloride is a biotin derivative used for labeling tyrosine and histidine residues in peptides and proteins.

N-Boc-Biocytin is a biotin PEG linker that incorporates both a carboxyl group and a Boc-protected amine. The carboxyl group reacts with a primary amine (-NH2) to form a stable, irreversible amide bond. The Boc group can be removed under acidic conditions to yield a free amine suitable for further conjugation.

Biocytin hydrazide is an aldehyde-fixable cellular tracer that can be introduced into cells by microinjection. Biocytin hydrazide can also be used to label glycoproteins or other carbohydrate molecules.
