Bat coronavirus (BtCoV) proteins are viral structural and non-structural proteins derived from coronaviruses naturally found in bats. These proteins are involved in viral attachment, host cell entry, genome replication, virion assembly, and interactions with host immune responses. Key BtCoV proteins include spike protein, nucleocapsid protein, membrane protein, envelope protein, and multiple non-structural proteins. Recombinant BtCoV proteins are commonly used in coronavirus evolution studies, cross-species transmission research, receptor-binding analysis, antibody screening, diagnostic assay development, and virus–host interaction studies.
