Eugenol (Allylguaiacol) is a Standardized Chemical Allergen. The physiologic effect of eugenol is by means of Increased Histamine Release and Cell-mediated Immunity.

Eugenol acetate (Aceteugenol) is a constituent of Clove oil, an essential oil from the clove plant, Syzygium aromaticum. Clove oil is a natural analgaesic and antiseptic used primarily in dentistry for its main ingredient Eugenol. Clove oil can also be purchased in pharmacies over the counter, as a home remedy for dental pain relief, mainly toothache; it is also often found in the aromatherapy section of health food stores.

Syringaresinol diglucoside (Syringaresinol-di-O-glucoside) protects the animals from the stress-induced decreases in sex behaviours and in rectal temperature, the stress-induced failure of retrieval of memory, and the stress-induced enlargement of adrenal gland.

(-)-Syringaresnol-4-O-β-D-apiofuranosyl-(1→2)-β-D-glucopyranoside ((-)-Syringaresnol-4-O-beta-D-apiofuranos) is a lignan glycoside derived from the bark of Albizzia myriophylla.

Eugenol benzoate, a potent lipoxygenase inhibitor, has antioxidant activity.

Dehydrodieugenol is a natural lignan capable of inhibiting free radical-mediated lipid peroxidation and scavenging superoxide radicals.
