Phosphorylethanolamine
O-Phosphorylethanolamine
T48811071-23-4
Phosphorylethanolamine (O-Phosphorylethanolamine) is a phosphomonoester metabolite of the phospholipid metabolism. Phosphorylethanolamine is a precursor of phospholipid synthesis and a product of phospholipid breakdown. Phosphomonoesters are present at much higher levels in the brain than in other organs. In developing the brain, phosphomonoesters are normally elevated during the period of neuritic proliferation. This also coincides with the occurrence of normal programmed cell death and synaptic pruning in developing the brain. These findings are consistent with the role of phosphomonoesters in membrane biosynthesis. Phosphorylethanolamine shows a strong structural similarity to the inhibitory neurotransmitter, GABA, and the GABAB receptor partial agonist, 3-amino-propylphosphonic acid. Phosphorylethanolamine is a phosphomonoester which is decreased in post-mortem Alzheimer's disease (AD) brain.

1,2-Distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphorylethanolamine
1,2-DSPE, 1,2-Distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethan
T52491069-79-0
1,2-Distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphorylethanolamine (1,2-DSPE) is a phosphatidylethanolamine (PE or GPEtn). The stearic acid moieties are derived from animal fats, cocoa butter, and sesame oil. Phospholipids are ubiquitous in nature and are key components of the lipid bilayer of cells, as well as being involved in metabolism and signaling.

(2R)-3-(((2-Aminoethoxy)(hydroxy)phosphoryl)oxy)propane-1,2-diyl ditetradecanoate
DMPE, 1,2-Dimyristoyl-sn-glycero-3-PE, 1,2-Dihexadecanoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine
T5243998-07-2
(2R)-3-(((2-Aminoethoxy)(hydroxy)phosphoryl)oxy)propane-1,2-diyl ditetradecanoate (DMPE) is a phosphatidylethanolamine (PE or GPEtn), a glycerophospholipid with a phosphorylethanolamine moiety at a glycerol substitution site. DMPE comprises two myristic acid chains at the C-1 and C-2 positions, derived from nutmeg and butter. Phospholipids are ubiquitous in nature, key components of the cell lipid bilayer, and play roles in metabolism and signaling.
