Fluometuron is an herbicide. In the United States it was approved for use on cotton and sugarcane crops in 1974, but since 1986 is only approved for use on cotton.

Fluometuron (Standard) is a reference standard of fluometuron, suitable for quantitative analysis, quality control, and related research in biochemical experiments. Fluometuron is a substituted urea systemic and conductive upland herbicide with excellent control effects on annual weeds in cotton, corn, and other crop fields. It is used in cotton, corn, sugarcane, and orchards to control annual grass weeds such as barnyard grass, crabgrass, bluegrass, slender wild oat, green foxtail, and Chinese sprangletop, as well as broadleaf weeds such as Ixeris denticulata, amaranth, purslane, and sedge.
