Boscalid
T36141188425-85-6
Boscalid is a broad-spectrum carboxamide fungicide that inhibits fungal respiration by binding to the ubiquinone site of mitochondrial complex II/succinate dehydrogenase.1It suppresses mycelial growth ofS. minorby 87 to 100% and ofS. sclerotiorumby 77 to 100% when used at a concentration of 1 μg/ml.2In field studies, boscalid applied at 5.6 μg/cm2provides 55.5 and 30.4% disease control for lettuce drop caused byS. minorandS. sclerotiorum, respectively. It decreases cell viability of mouse primary cortical neurons following long-term exposure but is not cytotoxic (LC50= >100 μM for acute and continuous exposure). Formulations containing boscalid have been used in agriculture to prevent fungal growth on crops. 1.Wang, Y., Duan, Y., Wang, J., et al.A new point mutation in the iron-sulfur subunit of succinate dehydrogenase confers resistance to boscalid in Sclerotinia sclerotiorumMol. WGU55
T213899
WGU55 is a selective and potent reversible type II transmembrane serine protease TMPRSS6 inhibitor with a Ki value of 12.15 nM. In KEK293 cells, WGU55 inhibits TMPRSS6 activity with an IC50 value of 138 nM. It displays a Ki value of 3510 nM for the homologous protease matriptase (SI=289) and a Ki value of 5.2 μM for the key coagulation protease factor Xa. WGU55 is applicable in the study of iron overload-related diseases, such as hereditary hemochromatosis.

N4Py
N-4-Py, N 4 Py
T25844167695-87-6
N4Py is a pentadentate ligand capable of forming stable coordination complexes with metal ions such as iron and copper. It can mimic the metal-binding domain of Bleomycin. The Fe(II)-N4Py complex catalyzes the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS), leading to oxidative DNA damage and strand breaks. Due to its ability to induce oxidative stress and DNA damage, the N4Py system is widely used in studies of anticancer mechanisms.

Collismycin A
T35687158792-24-6
Collismycin A is a bacterial metabolite from *Streptomyces* with antibacterial, antiproliferative, and neuroprotective properties. It exhibits activity against various bacteria (MICs = 6.25-100 μg/ml) and fungi (MICs = 12.5-100 μg/ml). It inhibits proliferation of A549 lung, HCT116 colon, and HeLa cervical cancer cells (IC50s = 0.3, 0.6, and 0.3 μM, respectively) and NIH373 fibroblasts (IC50 = 56.6 μM) but not MDA-MD-231 breast cancer cells (IC50 > 100 μM). Collismycin A forms a complex with Fe(II) and Fe(III) in a 2:1 ratio, with iron ions inhibiting its antiproliferative effect on HeLa cells, an effect not observed with zinc, manganese, copper, or magnesium ions. Additionally, Collismycin A (1 μM) reduces apoptosis in zebrafish larvae brain regions by 44% in a model of neuronal cell death induced by all-trans retinoic acid.

Dimerum acid
TN907326912-16-3
Dimerum acid is a dihydroxamate (dihydroxamate) type iron carrier (siderophore) found in Penicillium chrysogenum. It serves as a precursor or degradation product of coprogen and significantly enhances iron uptake in Strategy I plants (such as cucumber) and Strategy II plants (such as maize). At a pH of 6.0, dimerum acid releases bioavailable Fe3+ through ligand exchange with plant-secreted phytosiderophore (phytosiderophore, PS) or EDTA, thereby improving iron supply efficiency in plants. Dimerum acid is applicable in research related to plant iron nutrition and agriculture.

Bathophenanthrolinedisulfonic acid disodium
TYD-0147452746-49-3
Bathophenanthrolinedisulfonic acid disodium salt (BPS) is a colorimetric reagent for detecting iron ions with a measurement wavelength of 535 nm. It is suitable for iron determination in aqueous systems without the need for solvent extraction. Additionally, BPS can be used to prepare Europium(III) bis(meso-phenanthroline disulfonate) and ruthenium(II) tris(meso-phenanthroline disulfonate) complexes or to form water-soluble complexes with palladium for the catalytic oxidation of 2-hexanol.
