Diabetes Modeling

Diabetes Mellitus is a metabolic disorder caused by insufficient insulin secretion or impaired insulin action. Common models include the streptozotocin (STZ)-induced type 1 diabetes model, and type 2 diabetes models such as high-fat diet (HFD) combined with STZ, as well as genetic models like db/db and ob/ob mice. These models are widely used to study pancreatic 尾-cell function, mechanisms of insulin resistance, and to evaluate antidiabetic drugs.
