PTEN

Phosphatase and tensin homolog (PTEN) is a protein that, in humans, is encoded by the PTEN gene. Mutations of this gene are a step in the development of many cancers. Genes corresponding to PTEN (orthologs) have been identified in most mammals for which complete genome data are available. PTEN acts as a tumor suppressor gene through the action of its phosphatase protein product. This phosphatase is involved in the regulation of the cell cycle, preventing cells from growing and dividing too rapidly. It is a target of many anticancer drugs.

  • Cucurbitacin B
    T34046199-67-3
Cucurbitacin B (Cuc B) has profound in vitro and in vivo antiproliferative effects against human pancreatic Y cells. It inhibited AKT signaling activation through up-regulation of PTEN. Cucurbitacin B is an effective inhibitor of HIF-1 and provide new perspectives into the mechanism of its anticancer activity. Cucurbitacin B inhibits proliferation and induces apoptosis via STAT3 pathway inhibition in A549 lung Y cells.

  • Afzelin
    TN1362482-39-3
Afzelin (Kaempferol-3-O-rhamnoside) has several cellular activities such as DNA-protective, antibacterial, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory as well as UV-absorbing activity and may protect human skin from UVB-induced damage by a combination of UV-absorbing and cellular activities. Afzelin attenuates the mitochondrial damage, enhances mitochondrial biogenesis and decreases the level of mitophagy-related proteins, parkin and PTEN-induced putative kinase 1.
