Pteridiaceae

The Pteridaceae family in the order Polypodiales contains about 50 genera and approximately 950 species. A. capillus-veneris (Pteridaceae) is a fern found throughout the world. Traditionally, it is used as a medicine in Ayurveda and Unani. It is an important antiurolithiatic drug and its decoction is widely used to treat patients with urolithiasis.
