β-1,3-Glucan is a major constituent of all characterized fungal cell walls, comprising 30% to 80% of wall mass, and β-1,3-Glucan exists as a branched polymer in the cell wall, with branches connected via β-1,6 linkages, enabling investigation into fungal structural biology, cell wall assembly, immunomodulation, and antifungal therapeutic targeting.
