Thiamphenicol (Dextrosulphenidol) is a methylsulfonyl analog of chloramphenicol. It is an antibiotic and immunosuppressive agent.

Cefazolin sodium (cephazolin sodium) salt binds to and inactivates penicillin-binding proteins (PBP) located on the inner membrane of the bacterial cell wall. Cefazolin sodium salt is the sodium salt of cefazolin, a beta-lactam antibiotic and first-generation cephalosporin with bactericidal activity. Inactivation of PBPs interferes with the cross-linkage of peptidoglycan chains necessary for bacterial cell wall strength and rigidity, which results in the weakening of the bacterial cell wall and cell lysis.

Cefazolin is a semi-synthetic cephalosporin that has a broad spectrum of antibacterial activity and inhibits the synthesis of bacterial cell walls.

ROS inducer 8 (Compound 11g) acts as an inhibitor of glutathione (GSH) and promotes the accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in Enterococcus faecalis, exhibiting antibacterial properties. It is capable of disrupting biofilms and inhibiting S. aureus and E. faecalis with minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) of 8 μg mL and 2 μg mL, respectively, demonstrating a post-antibiotic effect. Additionally, ROS inducer 8 shows low hemolytic toxicity on sheep red blood cells with an HC50 greater than 1280 μg mL.

Dactimicin is a new aminoglycoside. It also has in vitro activity, post-antibiotic effect, and interaction with other antibiotics.

Isepamicin (Sch 21420) is a potent aminoglycoside antibacterial compound with enhanced efficacy against strains harboring type I 6'-acetyltransferase. Its antibacterial spectrum encompasses Enterobacteriaceae and staphylococci, while exhibiting resistance against anaerobes, Neisseriaceae, and streptococci. Moreover, Isepamicin displays a robust concentration-dependent bactericidal effect, a prolonged post-antibiotic effect lasting several hours, and is capable of inducing adaptive resistance.

Cefazolin sodium pentahydrate, a first-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, is employed in diverse bacterial infection research [1] and exhibits an anti-inflammatory effect capable of attenuating post-operative cognitive dysfunction (POCD) [2].
