Deltorphin II (trifluoroacetate salt)
T36722
Deltorphin II is a peptide agonist of δ2-opioid receptors.1,2It is selective for δ-opioid receptors over μ- and κ-opioid receptors in radioligand bindings assays (Kis = 0.0033, >1, and >1 μM, respectively) and induces [35S]GTPγS binding in mouse brain membrane preparations (EC50= 0.034 μM). Deltorphin II (0.12 mg/kg) decreases the infarction zone:risk zone ratio in a rat model of myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury induced by coronary occlusion, an effect that can be reversed by the δ2-opioid receptor antagonist naltriben but not the δ1-opioid receptor antagonist BNTX.3Intrathecal administration of deltorphin II (15 μg/animal) increases latency to withdraw in the paw pressure and tail-flick tests in rats.4 1.Raynor, K., Kong, H., Chen, Y., et al.Pharmacological characterization of the cloned κ-, δ-, and μ-opioid receptorsMol. Amyloid-β (1-42) Peptide (trifluoroacetate salt)
T37367
Amyloid-β (1-42) (Aβ42) is a neurotoxic 42-amino acid protein fragment found in amyloid plaques in postmortem cerebral cortex from patients with Alzheimer's disease.1,2,3Aggregation of Aβ42 results in the formation of neurotoxic fibrils or globular oligomers.1Aβ42 accumulates in the brain of many transgenic mouse models of Alzheimer's disease and, in many models, the onset of amyloid deposition positively correlates with deficits in spatial learning and memory.4 1.Wolfe, M.S.Therapeutic strategies for Alzheimer's diseaseNat. Trihydroxycholestanoic Acid
Trihydroxycoprostanic Acid
T37666547-98-8
Trihydroxycholestanoic acid is an intermediate in the biosynthesis of cholic acid .1 Elevated plasma levels of trihydroxycholestanoic acid have been found in patients with Zellweger syndrome, a neurological disorder characterized by mutations in PEX genes which result in defects in peroxisome formation.2,3 |1. Pyrenocine A
T3835376868-97-8
Pyrenocine A is a fungal metabolite that has been found inP. terrestrisand has diverse biological activities.1It inhibits the asexual spore germination of the plant pathogenic fungiF. oxysporum,F. solani,M. hiemalis, andR. stolonifer(EC50s = 14, 20, 20, and 25 μg/ml, respectively). Pyrenocine A is active againstB. subtilis,S. aureus, andE. coli(IC50s = 30, 45, and 200 μg/ml, respectively). It inhibits onion seedling elongation (EC50= 4 μg/ml). Pyrenocine A is also a phytotoxin that inhibits lettuce seed germination and rice seedling elongation.2,3 1.Sparace, S.A., Reeleder, R.D., and Khanizadeh, S.Antibiotic activity of the pyrenocinesCan. 3-Decyl-5,5'-diphenyl-2-thioxo-4-imidazolidinone
T84521875014-22-5
3-Decyl-5,5'-diphenyl-2-thioxo-4-imidazolidinone (compound 45), having a pI50 of 5.89, shows promise as an inhibitor of fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH). Despite its activity, it demonstrates a lack of affinity for cannabinoid receptors CB(1) and CB(2) [1].
