Icacinaceae

The Icacinaceae, also called the white pear family, are a family of flowering plants, principally subtropical to tropical. The family was traditionally circumscribed quite broadly, with around 55 genera totalling over 400 species. Icacina senegalensis (Icacinaceae), traditionally used for the treatment of malaria in Africa, inhibits in vitro Plasmodium falciparum growth without host cell toxicity.
