DPDPE is selective δ-opioid receptor agonist peptide. Inhibits electrically stimulated contraction of mouse vas deferens in vitro (EC50 = 5.2 nM), and is antinociceptive in vivo.

DPDPE TFA is selective δ-opioid receptor agonist peptide. Inhibits electrically stimulated contraction of mouse vas deferens in vitro (EC50 = 5.2 nM), and is antinociceptive in vivo.

Naltrindole 5′-isothiocyanate (5'-NTII) is an irreversible delta opioid receptor antagonist that counters the analgesic effects induced by DSLET without altering the effects caused by DPDPE.

BNTX (7-Benzylidenenaltrexone) is a selective δ1-opioid receptor antagonist. It competitively counteracts the antisecretory effects of DPDPE, Deltorphin 2, and DAMGO. BNTX is applicable in research focused on antinociceptive effects.

Deltorphin II is a peptide agonist of δ2-opioid receptors.1,2It is selective for δ-opioid receptors over μ- and κ-opioid receptors in radioligand bindings assays (Kis = 0.0033, >1, and >1 μM, respectively) and induces [35S]GTPγS binding in mouse brain membrane preparations (EC50= 0.034 μM).
