PALATINOSE (TNP-470) is a natural occurring disaccharide composed of alpha-1,6-linked glucose and fructose. PALATINOSE has a beneficial effect on liver metabolic functions and might therefore be a good substitute for sucrose as a sweetener.

Isomaltulose monohydrate is an fMLP inhibitor that also inhibits Src kinase, ERK1/2, p38, and AKT phosphorylation signals in immune regulation. It interferes with the interaction between the βγ subunit of the fMLP receptor Gi protein and downstream molecules, thereby inhibiting fMLP-induced respiratory burst. Isomaltulose monohydrate inhibits fMLP (0.1 μM)-induced superoxide anion production (IC₅₀: 1.98 μM), cathepsin G release (IC₅₀: 2.76 μM), and chemotaxis. It can improve excessive activation of neutrophils and reduce inflammation or tissue damage. Derivatives of Isomaltulose monohydrate have been found to inhibit FSGS-related TRPC6 functional mutants [1].

D-Melibiose (Galalpha1-6Glcbeta) is a reducing disaccharide formed by an alpha-1, 6 linkage between galactose and glucose (D-Gal-α(1→6)-D-Glc).

Palatinose hydrate (6-O-α-D-Glucopyranosyl-D-fructose, Isoma) is a disaccharide having an α(1→6) linkage between D-glucose and D-fructose and is similar to sucrose in its physicochemical properties. It is produced from sucrose in some bacteria by the action of sucrose isomerase. In mammalian gut, palatinose is hydrolyzed and absorbed much more slowly than sucrose.

TNP-470 is a methionine aminopeptidase-2 inhibitor and an angiogenesis inhibitor.
