Azomycin (Ro 05-9129) is an antimicrobial antibiotic produced by a strain of Nocardia mesenterica.

Duazomycin (Duazomycin A) sodium acts as a glutamine antagonist. It significantly enhances the efficacy of 6-Mercaptopurine (6-MP) in treating experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) without increasing toxicity.

Duazomycin, an antitumor substance and glutamine antagonist, is used as a chemotherapeutic agent.

Carbazomycin B is a bacterial metabolite found in Streptomyces with diverse biological activities. It exhibits activity against seven fungi, seven bacteria, P. falciparum, C. albicans, and five plant pathogenic fungi. Carbazomycin B is cytotoxic to MCF-7, KB, NCI H187, and Vero cells, and inhibits 5-lipoxygenase (5-LO) activity in RBL-1 cell extracts (IC50 = 1.5 µM).

Carbazomycin C is a bacterial metabolite that has been found in Streptomyces and has diverse biological activities. It is active against S. aureus, B. anthracis, B. subtilis, and M. flavus, the fungi T. asteroides and T. mentagrophytes, and P. falciparum. It is also active against a panel of five plant pathogenic fungi. Carbazomycin C is cytotoxic to MCF-7, KB, and NCI H187 cells. It also inhibits 5-lipoxygenase (5-LO) activity in RBL-1 cell extracts.

Cyclothiazomycin selectively inhibits renin activity without affecting pepsin, aspartic, serine, thiol, and metalloproteases. Additionally, Cyclothiazomycin exhibits weak antifungal activity.

Pyrazomycin II (Pyrazomycin B) is an antibiotic that acts as a competitive inhibitor in the metabolism of pyrimidine nucleosides.

Azotomycin is an antagonist of L-glutamine and may be used as an immunosuppressant.
