Product Introduction

Caffeic Acid AI Summary
Caffeic Acid demonstrates multiple bioactivities. As an inhibitor of EGF-dependent autophosphorylation of epidermal growth factor receptor kinase, it shows an IC50 value of 1,200,000 nM and a Ki value of 400,000 nM. It exhibits in vitro antimalarial activity against Plasmodium falciparum with an IC50 value of 122,000 nM. The compound also shows significant antioxidant properties, including DPPH radical scavenging with an IC50 value of 57,000 nM, ABTS with an IC50 of 257,000 nM, and superoxide anion scavenging activity with an IC50 of 2900 nM. Additionally, it demonstrates hydroxyl radical scavenging activity with an IC50 value of 500 nM and antioxidant bioactivities through inhibition of lipid peroxidation. The compound inhibits various lipoxygenases (IC50 values: potato 5-LOX - 4000 nM, soybean 15-LOX - 600,000 nM) and other enzymes such as beta-glucuronidase and human carbonic anhydrase. It also exhibits anti-inflammatory and antiviral activities, including inhibition of HIV-1 integrase and protease. Although it shows inhibition and moderate cytotoxicity in various assays, it presents potential therapeutic properties across a wide range of bioactivities..

Description
Caffeic acid is a dual inhibitor of 5-lipoxygenase and TRPV1 ion channels.
Targets&IC50
renin:5704 µM, DNA methylation:3.0 μM, Canine distemper virus:23.3 μg/mL (at 1h post infection)
In vitro
METHODS: Human A549 cells were treated with Caffeic Acid for 48 h, and cell growth inhibition was measured using MTT assay.
RESULTS: Caffeic Acid inhibited the growth of A549 cells (IC50=0.7 mM). [1]
METHODS: Human AGS and HCT-116 cells were treated with Caffeic Acid for 96 hours, and cell growth inhibition was detected using MTT assay.
RESULTS: Caffeic Acid inhibited the growth of AGS (IC50=129 μM) and HCT-116 (IC50=29.73 μM) cells. [2]
In vivo
METHODS: To study the anti-pruritus effect of Caffeic Acid, Caffeic Acid (500 mg/kg) was orally administered to mice induced by histamine and chloroquine.
RESULTS: Caffeic acid pretreated mice showed significantly less histamine-induced scratching and chloroquine-induced scratching. [3]

In Vivo Formulation Calculator (Clear solution)

Please enter your animal experiment information in the following box and click Calculate to obtain the stock solution preparation method and in vivo formula preparation method:
TargetMol | Animal experiments For example, if the intended dosage is 10 mg/kg for animals weighing 20 g , with a dosing volume of 100 μL per animal, TargetMol | Animal experiments and a total of 10 animals are to be administered, using a formulation of TargetMol | reagent 10% DMSO+ 40% PEG300+ 5% Tween 80+ 45% Saline/PBS/ddH2O , the resulting working solution concentration would be 2 mg/mL.
Stock Solution Preparation:

Dissolve 2 mg of the compound in 100 μL DMSOTargetMol | reagent to obtain a stock solution at a concentration of 20 mg/mL . If the required concentration exceeds the compound's known solubility, please contact us for technical support before proceeding.

Preparation of the In Vivo Formulation:

1) Add 100 μL of the DMSOTargetMol | reagent stock solution to 400 μL PEG300TargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.

2) Add 50 μL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.

3) Add 450 μL Saline,PBS or ddH2OTargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
