MNK8 (3-methyl-6-(naphthalen-1-yl)pyrimidine-2,4(1H,3H)-dione) is a potent STAT3 inhibitor that reduces the ability of STAT3 to bind to DNA and also has a good growth inhibition effect on liver cancer cells [1].

Description | MNK8 (3-methyl-6-(naphthalen-1-yl)pyrimidine-2,4(1H,3H)-dione) is a potent STAT3 inhibitor that reduces the ability of STAT3 to bind to DNA and also has a good growth inhibition effect on liver cancer cells [1]. |
In vitro | MNK8, at a concentration of 50 μM over a period of 0 to 48 hours, resulted in a time-dependent increase in Sub-G1 cells and concurrently led to a reduction in the levels of antiapoptotic proteins, namely Bcl-2, survivin, and cyclin D1 [1]. |
