Description
Talipexole dihydrochloride (Domnin) is a dopamine D2 receptor agonist, α2-adrenoceptor agonist, and 5-HT3 receptor antagonist in both rat cortical and intestinal membrane fractions with Ki values of 0.35 μM and 0.22 μM, respectively. It displays antiParkinsonian activity.

In vivo
Intracisternal injection of 10 μg/kg Talipexole dihydrochloride promotes vagal-mediated reflex bradycardia induced by injection of angiotensin in β-adrenoceptor-blocked dogs. Intravenous administration of Talipexole dihydrochloride at 30 mcg/kg initially caused an increase in blood pressure in cats. Then there is the long-term drop in blood pressure and heart rate[4].
