Description	Rapanone (2,5-Dihydroxy-3-tridecyl-[1,4]benzoquinone) is a natural benzoquinone that is a potent and selective inhibitor of human synovial PLA2.
Targets&IC50	PLA2:2.6 μM
In vitro	In the HepG2, rapanone (20–40 μM) induced a concentration-dependent mitochondrial membrane potential dissipation, ATP depletion, hydrogen peroxide generation and, phosphatidyl serine externalization.Rapanone impairs mitochondrial respiration by inhibiting electron transport chain at Complex III and promotes mitochondrial dysfunction[1].
In vivo	In mice,rapanone (2.5-10 mg/kg; i.p.) exhibits anti-inflammatory effects in the carrageenan paw oedema model
