| In vitro | 4'-BR treatment of melanoma cells resulted in (a) decrease in proliferation and clonogenic survival;?(b) induction of apoptosis accompanied by a decrease in procaspase-3, procaspase-8, and increase in the cleavage of caspase-3 and poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP);?(c) marked downregulation of proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA);?and (d) inhibition of melanoma cell migration.?Further, 4'-BR caused a G0/G1 phase arrest of melanoma cells that was accompanied by an increase in WAF-1/P21 and decrease in Cyclin D1/Cyclin-dependent kinase 6 protein levels.?4'-BR causes a decrease in lactate production, glucose uptake, and NAD+ /NADH ratio.?These responses were accompanied by downregulation in lactate dehydrogenase A and glucose transporter 1 in melanoma cells.[1] |

Dissolve 2 mg of the compound in 100 μL DMSO
to obtain a stock solution at a concentration of 20 mg/mL . If the required concentration exceeds the compound's known solubility, please contact us for technical support before proceeding.
1) Add 100 μL of the DMSO
stock solution to 400 μL PEG300
and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.
2) Add 50 μL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.
3) Add 450 μL Saline,PBS or ddH2O
and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
