Description | Norwogonin (5,7,8-Trihydroxyflavone), isolated from Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi, possesses antiviral activity against Enterovirus 71 (IC50: 31.83 μg/ml). |
Targets&IC50 | EV71:31.83 μg/ml |
In vitro | Norwogonin (0.4, 2, 10, and 50 μg/mL; 48 hours) inhibits Enterovirus 71 (EV71) replication in Vero cells and prevents the cytotoxicity induced by EV71 infection. Norwogonin (50 μg/mL; 48 hours) dramatically decreases viral VP2 protein expression and strongly decreases the expression of the EV71 NCR gene at 48 h. |
