(E)-3,4-Dimethoxycinnamic acid is a less active isomer of 3,4-dimethoxycinnamic acid, a natural monomer from Securidaca inappendiculata Hassk. It exerts anti-apoptotic effects in L-02 cells via ROS-mediated signaling, showing potential in research related to inflammation and immunology.
In vitro
(E)-3,4-Dimethoxycinnamic acid (25, 50, and 100 μM) alleviates ethanol exposure-induced apoptosis in L-02 cells [1].
(E)-3,4-Dimethoxycinnamic acid (25, 50, and 100 μM) inhibits the expression levels of Nox4 and p22phox in L-02 cells [1].
(E)-3,4-Dimethoxycinnamic acid (25, 50, and 100 μM) attenuates ethanol-induced MAPK phosphorylation in L-02 cells [1].
(E)-3,4-Dimethoxycinnamic acid reduces the expression levels of superoxide dismutase, catalase, and phospholipid hydroperoxide glutathione peroxidase in a dose- and time-dependent manner, while downregulating the Bax/Bcl-2 ratio and cleaved caspase-3 levels [1].

Preparation of the In Vivo Formulation:

1) Add 100 μL of the DMSOTargetMol | reagent stock solution to 400 μL PEG300TargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.
