In vivo | Patamostat mesylate, administered via intravenous infusion, demonstrates a dose-dependent reduction in mortality following pancreatitis induction, with dosages of 0.03-0.3 mg/kg in rats and 0.3-3.0 mg/kg in rabbits[1]. At higher concentrations (1.0-3.0 mg/kg), it decreases serum trypsin and lipase activity levels in dogs with pancreatitis[1]. Furthermore, a continuous infusion at a rate of 2 mg/kg per hour significantly improves survival rates and nearly all examined parameters in male Wistar rats (weighing about 350 g), including mortality, serum and ascitic fluid amylase, plasma endotoxin, serum Fibrin Degradation Products (FDP) levels, and lysosomal enzyme distribution[2]. |
