Description
Imeglimin (EMD 387008) is an orally available antidiabetic compound that enhances mitochondrial function, enhances insulin secretion, promotes β-cell proliferation and improves pancreatic β-cell survival in mice.
In vitro
In Human endothelial cells (HMEC-1), Imeglimin (100 μM and 10 mM; 100 μM for 24 hours, 10 mM for 4 hours) can prevent cell death[2].
In vivo
In 4-week-old male C57BL/6JOlaHsd mice, oral administration of Imeglimin (200 mg/kg; b.i.d.; for 6 weeks) caused a slight decrease in body weight and food intake, associated with some diarrhea, but these effects were only observed during the first few days of treatment[1].

Dissolve 2 mg of the compound in 100 μL DMSOTargetMol | reagent to obtain a stock solution at a concentration of 20 mg/mL . If the required concentration exceeds the compound's known solubility, please contact us for technical support before proceeding.

Preparation of the In Vivo Formulation:

1) Add 100 μL of the DMSOTargetMol | reagent stock solution to 400 μL PEG300TargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.

2) Add 50 μL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.

3) Add 450 μL Saline,PBS or ddH2OTargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
