Moracin C, a natural compound found in Morus mesozygia, Morus alba var. multicaulis, is an anti-inflammatory agent. moracin C inhibits nitric oxide (NO) release and LPS-activated reactive oxygen species (ROS) in cells.

In vitro
Moracin C (1-50 μM, 24 h) inhibited the release of LPS-activated reactive oxygen species (ROS) and nitric oxide (NO) from RAW264.7 cells.[2]
Moracin C (1-50 μM, 2 h) inhibits mRNA and protein expression of iNOS and COX-2 in RAW264.7 cells.[2]
Moracin C (1-50 μM, 2 h) inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-1β, IL-6 and TNF-α) in LPS-activated RAW 264.7 cells [1].
Moracin C (1-50 μM, 2 h) inhibits the phosphorylation of p38, ERK and JNK in LPS-activated RAW 264.7 cells.[2]
In vivo
Moracin C (100 mg/kg, gavage, mice) is rapidly and well absorbed in the intestinal tract and is widely distributed in the gastrointestinal tract, liver, kidney and lungs.[3]

Stock Solution Preparation:

Dissolve 2 mg of the compound in 100 μL DMSOTargetMol | reagent to obtain a stock solution at a concentration of 20 mg/mL . If the required concentration exceeds the compound's known solubility, please contact us for technical support before proceeding.

Preparation of the In Vivo Formulation:

1) Add 100 μL of the DMSOTargetMol | reagent stock solution to 400 μL PEG300TargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.

2) Add 50 μL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.

3) Add 450 μL Saline,PBS or ddH2OTargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
