Cholesteryl linoleate (Linoleic Acid cholesteryl ester) is a cholesterol ester found in LDL. Cholesteryl linoleate is transferred to the plasma membrane of macrophages and CHO cells expressing 15-lipoxygenase (15-LO) via LDL receptor-related protein (LRP), where it undergoes oxidation to form cholesteryl linoleate hydroperoxides.
