Description
Vorozole (R83842) is an orally active, potent, and selective nonsteroidal aromatase inhibitor.Vorozole exhibits antitumor activity in vivo and may be used in the study of breast cancer.
In vitro
Vorozole inhibits aromatase activity in FSH-stimulated rat granulosa cells with an IC 50 s of 1.4 nM.[3]
In vivo
Vorozole (0.8-1.25 mg/kg; Gavage; daily for 77 days; Female Sprague-Dawley rats) demonstrates antitumor effects and increases serum levels of insulin-like growth factor (IGF)-1 and testosterone.[3] Additionally, Vorozole (0.8-1.25 mg/kg; p.o.; 5 days; Female Sprague-Dawley rats) reduces uterine weight in a dose-dependent manner and effectively suppresses tumor aromatase in ovariectomized nude mice.[3]

Preparation of the In Vivo Formulation:

1) Add 100 μL of the DMSOTargetMol | reagent stock solution to 400 μL PEG300TargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.

3) Add 450 μL Saline,PBS or ddH2OTargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
