15(S)-HpETE is a product of arachidonic acid formed in the 15-lipoxygenase pathway and inhibits angiogenesis. 15(S)-HpETE can upregulate the expression of CD31, E-selectin, and gene selectin in cells.
In vitro
15(S)-HpETE is involved in the regulation of a variety of cell signaling pathways and biological processes by inducing the expression of c-fos and c-jun genes and activating AP-1 transcription factor. This regulatory mechanism is important for understanding inflammatory responses, cellular stress responses, and other diseases related to lipid metabolism. [1]
