Product Introduction

Riboflavin AI Summary
Riboflavin exhibits a wide range of bioactivities, including enzyme inhibition, antiviral, cytotoxic, and other biological activities. It shows inhibitory activity against beta-lactamase, chymotrypsin, malate dehydrogenase, SRC2-3 interaction with the androgen receptor, BRCT-Phosphoprotein interaction, RecQ-Like DNA Helicase 1, and various other targets. It specifically inhibits Ebola virus entry and SARS-CoV-2 induced cytotoxicity with moderate potency. The compound also demonstrates binding affinity to chicken riboflavin binding protein and influences growth parameters and disease resistance in Cenchrus americanus cultivar 7042S. Additionally, Riboflavin inhibits OATP1B1 and OATP1B3-mediated uptake of sodium fluorescein. It exhibits photooxidative activity and potentiates apoptosis under blue light irradiation. Despite exhibiting cytotoxicity against human THLE cells, it shows no liver toxicity in humans. The compound's antiviral activity extends to interaction with SARS-CoV-2 3CL-Pro protease. Its complex bioactivity profile suggests potential therapeutic applications and biological significance across various domains..

Description
Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) is a natural product, an endogenous human metabolite, and a micronutrient. Riboflavin is essential for the formation of two major coenzymes, flavin mononucleotide and flavin adenine dinucleotide. Riboflavin is involved in energy metabolism, cellular respiration, and antibody production, as well as normal growth and development.
In vitro
METHODS: Rat pancreatic islet cells were treated with Riboflavin (10 µM) for 3 days and cell viability was measured by Trypan blue assay.
RESULTS: Riboflavin supplementation had no effect on the viability of HEK293T17 cells. [1]
METHODS: Rainbow trout gonadal cells RTG-2 were treated with Riboflavin (10 µM) for 24 h. Islet number was measured by DTZ staining.
RESULTS: Riboflavin-treated islets had modest but statistically significantly higher recovery rates of 75.2±1.6% and 69.3±2.0%, respectively. [2]
In vivo
METHODS: To investigate the effects on LPS-induced shock in mice, Riboflavin (1-10 mg/kg) was injected intraperitoneally into BALB/c mice, followed by LPS.
RESULTS: High doses of Riboflavin reduced LPS-induced mortality by increasing HSP25 expression. [3]

Please enter your animal experiment information in the following box and click Calculate to obtain the stock solution preparation method and in vivo formula preparation method:
TargetMol | Animal experiments For example, if the intended dosage is 10 mg/kg for animals weighing 20 g , with a dosing volume of 100 μL per animal, TargetMol | Animal experiments and a total of 10 animals are to be administered, using a formulation of TargetMol | reagent 10% DMSO+ 40% PEG300+ 5% Tween 80+ 45% Saline/PBS/ddH2O , the resulting working solution concentration would be 2 mg/mL.
Stock Solution Preparation:

Dissolve 2 mg of the compound in 100 μL DMSOTargetMol | reagent to obtain a stock solution at a concentration of 20 mg/mL . If the required concentration exceeds the compound's known solubility, please contact us for technical support before proceeding.

Preparation of the In Vivo Formulation:

1) Add 100 μL of the DMSOTargetMol | reagent stock solution to 400 μL PEG300TargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.

2) Add 50 μL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.

3) Add 450 μL Saline,PBS or ddH2OTargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
