| In vitro | Kanamycin A (0.1-100 μg/mL; 2 weeks of treatment) showed good antimicrobial activity against a wide range of mycobacterial strains in vitro with a minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of 1-5 μg/mL. [1] |
| In vivo | Kanamycin A administered intravenously at doses of 2 mg/kg and 4 mg/kg once a day, six times a week for three weeks effectively inhibited the growth of Mycobacterium bovis in the lungs and spleens of mice. [1] Kanamycin A administered intravenously in a single dose (3 hours post-infection) at 1.25 mg/kg and 5 mg/kg significantly reduced the colonization of K. pneumoniae DT-S in the lungs, trachea and blood of mice and this reduction was proportional to the administered dose, while increasing the survival rate of mice. Dissolve 2 mg of the compound in 100 μL DMSO
to obtain a stock solution at a concentration of 20 mg/mL . If the required concentration exceeds the compound's known solubility, please contact us for technical support before proceeding.
1) Add 100 μL of the DMSO
stock solution to 400 μL PEG300
and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.
2) Add 50 μL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.
3) Add 450 μL Saline,PBS or ddH2O
and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
