Description
IA-Alkyne (Iodoacetamide-alkyne) is a TRP channel (TRPC) agonist. IA-Alkyne can be used to develop an isotopically tagged probe for quantitative cysteine-reactivity profiling. It also has the potential for the study of respiratory infection.
In vitro
IA-alkyne (2.5-10 μM; 1 hour) reacts with cysteines. In-gel fluorescence imaging indicates strong fluorescent intensity of IA-alkyne. Labeled proteome samples are conjugated with a fluorescent rhodamine-azide tag via CuAAC and analyzed by SDS-PAGE. Soluble fractions of HeLa cell lysates (2.0 mg/ml) are treated with IA-alkyne [2].

Preparation of the In Vivo Formulation:

1) Add 100 μL of the DMSOTargetMol | reagent stock solution to 400 μL PEG300TargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until the solution becomes clear.

2) Add 50 μL Tween 80 and mix well until fully clarified.

3) Add 450 μL Saline,PBS or ddH2OTargetMol | reagent and mix thoroughly until a homogeneous solution is obtained.
