Description | Brassinazole is a selective inhibitor of triazole-type steroid (BR) biosynthesis.Brassinazole can be used to modulate the oleuropein steroid (BR) signaling pathway, which is used to regulate plant xylem growth and development. |
In vitro | At concentrations of 0.5, 1, and 5 μM, Brassinazole induces marked malformation of seedlings, rendering them morphologically similar to BR-deficient mutants. Cress treated with Brassinazole exhibits dwarfism and altered leaf morphology, characterized by downward curling and a dark green color typical of Arabidopsis BR-deficient mutants. This dwarfism is reversed by the application of 10 nM brassinolide [1]. |
