Description	6-Phosphogluconic acid is a potent and competitive inhibitor of phosphoglucose isomerase (PGI), with an apparent Ki of 0.048 mM for glucose 6-phosphate and 0.042 mM for fructose 6-phosphate as the substrate.
Targets&IC50	Glucose 6-phosphate:48 μM(Ki), Fructose 6-phosphate:42 μM(Ki)
In vitro	6-Phosphogluconic acid, at concentrations ranging from 0.5 to 2.0 mM, fully inhibits the activity of phosphoglucose isomerase (PGI) when using glucose 6-phosphate, in concentrations of 0.05 to 0.5 mM, as the substrate [1].
