| In vivo | Methods: The therapeutic effects of selachyl alcohol (5, 10 mg/kg, oral) or (1 mg/kg, intravenous) were investigated in hypertensive male Sprague-Dawley rats. Results: Selachyl alcohol induced a slow decrease in blood pressure of approximately 60 mmHg that lasted for 20 minutes. It was effective in lowering gastrointestinal blood pressure. [1] |
