Description	Rezafungin acetate (Biafungin acetate) is a echinocandin with antimicrobial activity that inhibits 1,3-β-D-glucan synthase. It can be used for research on invasive fungal diseases in hematopoietic and bone marrow transplant recipients.
In vivo	Rezafungin acetate (1 mg/kg; intraperitoneal injection once daily for 6 days) demonstrated favorable in vivo prophylaxis against Pneumocystis carinii infection in a mouse model of infection. [1]
