Description	NT-0249 is an orally active inhibitor of the inflammatory vesicle NLRP3 with anti-inflammatory activity that reverses high-fat diet-induced obesity, systemic inflammation, and astrocyte hyperplasia.
In vivo	Two structurally distinct NLRP3 inhibitors, NT-0249 and NT-0796, were able to reverse obesity in a mouse model of diet-induced obesity (DIO), and DIO-driven hypothalamic glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) expression could be blocked by administration of NT-0249 or NT-0796. [1]
