Description	Nonanal is a growth factor for wood-rotting fungi. Nonanal is a potential attractant for the pine shoot beetle.
In vitro	Nonanal shows significant activity against B. cereus and L. monocytogenes with MIC values of both 7.8 μg/ml[2].
In vivo	In mice, Nonanal shows a significant inhibitory effect with diarrhoea induced with castor oil[2].
